2024 02 17 The Green Eye performed Nepali folk song Resham Firiri for a packed house during The United Sherpa Association's Losar Party 2024, held in Queens, NY. Thanks to United Sherpa Association's Saang Dorje Sherpa for bringing me to the party!

2023 06 25 The Green Eye performed chill ambient tunes for the Repair Cafe event held at the Irvington Library, in Irvington NY. i was also on hand to help with guitar repairs but only one came for help - wanted new strings put on an old beatup guitar.

2023 12 01 - The Green Eye performed ambient background music at Emotionally Speaking's Christmas Launch Party. This was a great fit for the kind of music we do in an environment of curiosity and innovation. Thanks to Kirti Vaswani for inviting me.

2022 - The Green Eye - which is currently the solo music art of me, james dean conklin - is on offer as an interface between human and non-human life on our shared planet earth. as always, public performances will be solar-powered, using my own hand-built solar charging station, and will be a platform for education as well as entertainment and comfort.

2015 - Solar Punch ran a short tour from Kathmandu to Dhule, India in Autumn, 2015.

2014 04 Solar Punch recorded Saura Yatra at Woody's House studio, in Croton-on-Hudson, NY w/ engineer Fred Gillen Jr. Featuring a lighter sonic arrangement reflecting the band's experience on the 2013 Solar Expedition in the Himalayas. Bassist Andy Mattina picked up a Ukulele and a Shruti box, Alan Bigelow had a Turkish Cümbus, and james dean conklin played an Irish Bouzouki. This album also features flute work from Paul Harris and Tibetan meditation bowl sounds from Matt Dow.

2013 - Though we've been friends w Deepak Gadhia since 2009, we did not have shows at his home base at Muni Seva Ashram until our 'Green Karbon' tour in early 2013. Solar Punch performed at a number of towns & villages on the West Coast of India, from Ahmedabad, to Valsad, and Mumbai.

2010 04 10 The 2nd album from Solar Punch, recorded at Woody's House studio, in Croton-on-Hudson, NY w/ engineer Fred Gillen Jr. Featuring drummer Joe Mitch and Bassist Andy Mattina, as well as co-founders & songwriters Alan Bigelow & james dean conklin. We distributed this album as a digital download with an accompanying booklet.

2009 04 10 Solar Punch recorded their 1st album at Fred Gillen Jr's Woody's House studio, in Croton-on-Hudson, NY. Featuring drummer Frank Marino and Bassist Andy Mattina, as well as co-founders & songwriters Alan Bigelow & james dean conklin.

2009 09 03 Solar Punch was invited to IIT Guwahati to perform at the school's annual techfest, called TECHNICHE.

2009 - Part of the Indian Youth Climate Network tour in January, 2009. Kids for Tigers was brought forward by Sanctuary Asia chief editor, Bhittu Sahgal.

2008 - Solar Punch was invited to perform at the 2008 Solar Expo and Trade show in San Diego via Ted Stern, materials engineer, solar energy engineer and musician. During the conference, we met one of the organizers for the then-upcoming Climate Solutions Road Tour: Visions of India and were eventually invited to join that auspicious journey.

2007 - james dean conklin & Alan Bigelow create solar-powered band Solar Punch, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. After several years performing in support of rock band Circus Guy, james and Alan decided to continue in the eco-rock tradition and developed Solar Punch. After a year of local Farmer's Market gigs and Nature Center performances, the band found it's way into a deep tour of India in Jan 2009 and more and more and more cool stuff happened along the way…
